Recruiting Update: Pump N Run's Elijah Johnson
Friday, 11 April 2008 22:01

Las Vegas native Elijah Johnson is taking his college recruiting very seriously. Recently reports stated that the 6’3 point guard had ruled out home town team UNLV and was close to making a commitment to Kansas.

Johnson cleared up the misunderstanding when he told Rivals.com, "UNLV is definitely still in it. I could see myself staying home at UNLV and helping get them to the next level. That is my hometown team."

In addition to UNLV and Kansas, Johnson has offers from several other major level college basketball programs including Texas and Arizona State. Johnson hasn’t made any official decisions yet in favor of focusing on his class work.

Johnson told Rivals, "All I can say is that I am trying to excel in the classroom right now but I know I will end up at the right college for me."

Regardless of where Johnson plays his college basketball, this summer he will be suiting up for the talented Pump N Run Elite out of California.  Johnson will join UCLA signee, Reeves Nelson in Pump N Run's quest for the 2008 GBOA West title May 3-4 in Los Angeles.
