In the extremely talented South region, a freshman is beginning to gain some major attention. Trevor Lacey is becoming one of the most talked about young players in the country thanks to his impressive play with his summer hoops team Southeast Elite. As only a freshman at Butler High School (in Huntsville, Alabama), Lacey averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals per game. While filling up the stat sheet, Lacey put on displays of skill far beyond those of any of his peers. Rivals.com described the freshman as having “an old school feel and a frame that will be great for the highest level possible”. GBOA Hoops fans will have an opportunity to see this star-in-the-making at the GBOA Hoops tournament in Atlanta, June 28 and 29, when his Southeast Elite team matches up with some of the top grassroots teams in the country for two days of the ultimate competition. |
