Bob Gottlieb's squad was cool under fire in their 49-47 come-from-behind victory over Inland Empire in the GBOA West title game on Sunday.

Alex Tucker named GBOA West Finals MVP

Branch West's floor general Alex Tucker proved that to be true as he led Bob Gottlieb's squad to a 49-47 victory over Inland Empire in the GBOA West title game at USC's Galen Center on Sunday. "I try to model my game after Chris Paul. I always try to setup my teammates first when they're open," said Tucker after he earned GBOA West Most Outstanding Player honors.

This years dunk contest showed some high flying acts with super soph Jeremy Tyler and Charles Oden. But there was a late entrant who almost stole the show.

Nick Johnson, also from California Supreme, came in and showed some crazy hops with a 360 over a GBOA signage stand. That was definitely enough to pull him in the finals against Jeremy Tyler who also showed some ups by jumping over three guys under the basket . In the end, it was the experience that Jeremy had over his Freshman teammate to pull out the victory. It was a California Supreme sweep with Jeremy taking the Dunk contest and his teammate Gary Franklin winning the Three Point Shootout.

1st Jeremy Tyler - California Supreme

2nd Nick Johnson - California Supreme
3rd Jamal Franklin
4th Charles Oden
