LA Dream Team

One of the biggest questions on college basketball fans’ minds is where Renardo Sidney will play college basketball. The top ranked prospect for the class of 2009, Sidney is a desirable addition to pretty much every major college program in the country. Although there is much interest from schools across the country, many reports say Sidney is leaning more towards the hometown schools in Los Angeles.

Sidney, who has played for three different high school teams in his first three years of high school, is being heavily recruited by both UCLA and USC. In addition to the hometown teams, Sidney has expressed interest in Big 12 powers Texas and Kansas as well as Arizona State and Memphis. It was said that the big man was also impressed during visits to both ASU and Texas, though currently, no team seems to have an edge on any other.

Although Sidney doesn’t have a timetable for when a decision might come, you can guarantee this summer will be full of campus visits and a late surge in recruiting from all the top programs. This summer promises to be one to remember for the talented junior, as he will play on the summer hoops circuit for the last time in his career with the LA Dream Team.  The Dream Team, coached by Sindey's father, Renardo Sr. is a new addition to the summer hoops circuit and is looking to make a splash early at the GBOA West tournament held in their hometown of Los Angeles.
