Which do you prefer in your life: good things or interesting things?
I’m a little caught up in that at the moment. I would usually say “Interesting things, of course,” but who says good things aren’t interesting too? I need to stop “living for the story” and striving to be honest, have genuine motives, and be present.

Slavoj Zizek: “Why Be Happy When You Can Be Interesting?”
That reminds me of my favorite passage of”Brave New World:
“But I don’t want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.”
“In fact,” said Mustapha Mond, “you’re claiming the right to be unhappy.”
“All right then,” said the Savage defiantly, “I’m claiming the right to be unhappy.”
Good things. Life has a way of bringing “interesting” challenges whether I seek them out or not… so I embrace peace, security and goodness every time I have the option to.
